RIMBA DONATES CUPS TO GIRLS IN ZAMBIA
Join for Joy is an NGO that uses sports and play to encourage children in the rural areas of East Africa to come to school, learn about social issues and help develop life skills. To ensure access to quality education and good health for girls, Join for Joy fights period poverty. The future of girls in Zambia depends on whether or not they have access to decent menstrual products. Not having access to decent menstrual products means in many cases dropping out of school, teenage pregnancies, forced marriages and financial dependence.
With the donation of Rimba, more than 700 girls have received a menstrual cup. Every distributed cup changes a life. Before the cups were distributed, the girls received a workshop led by a doctor and medical students. This ensures that the girls are familiar with the process of menstruation and the usage of the cup.
Thank you Join for Joy for this opportunity!
